Persist Orchardgrass

University of Tennessee released this drought tolerant and high yielding variety. Great for grazing or hay production.

Bestfor Perennial

A cross of perennial and Italian ryegrass.  With great early season production you will get a highly palatable, digestible forage.  Great when sown alone, but can also be sown into pastures to help thicken existing stands of other grasses.

Marshall Ryegrass

Well known variety, know for its winter hardiness and high production.

Lonestar Ryegrass

Medium maturity annual ryegrass with diploid characteristics.  Diploid varieties tend to dry down quicker than tetraploid varieties allowing for a better window to cut hay.  Lonestar is also known for its cold tolerance allowing for less winterkill when planted in fall.

Passerel Ryegrass

The #1 yielding ryegrass at the Noble Foundation Trials at Ardmore, OK for 2011.

Smooth Bromegrass

Cool season perennial  One of the highest protein grasses available.  Drought tolerant, suited for hay production rather than grazing in SW MO and SE KS.

Timothy

Shallow rooted perennial bunch grass. Excellent grass for blending with legumes. Suited better for hay production than grazing.

Reeds Canarygrass

Cool season bunch grass, which thrives in wet, marshy areas. Newer varieties such as Palaton and Marathon have become very popular.

Red Top

Perennial grass used often for erosion control. Develops a thick lush turf.
Very drought resistant and also grows well on poorly drained soils.
